Sometimes considered the most fringe segment of cycling, cyclocross has become mainstream is recent years and is a great way to get introduced to cycling competition. Unlike road racing, there are no large tight packs of racers in cyclocross. Speeds are lower and the terrain is usually softer so crashes are far less eventful. Compared to mountain biking, our terrain is literally often a walk in a city park.
