As most of you may know, the NFL kicks off the season this Thursday when the Redskins take on the Giants.  And since I have absolutely nothing better to do with my time, I’ve decided to run a Pick ‘Em pool this season.  For those of you who don’t know how this works, I’ll provide a brief explanation.  Every Tuesday, I will send out a list of the upcoming week’s games.  Picks are due back to me by NOON on Friday.  (NOTE:  on week’s where there is a Thursday game, picks will be due back by Thursday at Noon, which means for this week, picks are due back by Thursday at noon)  Entry fee will be $5 each week and need to have that money in hand prior to the first kickoff.  All you have to do is circle the winner of each game, and for the tie-breaker game pick the winner and the total points of the game.  For example, this week’s tie-breaker is the Broncos/Raiders game.  If you think the Raiders will win 21-17, you would circle the Raiders and enter 38 in for the total points.  Whoever picks the most games correctly will win the pot.  If there is a tie, then the winner will be whoever is closer to the total points.  If at that point there is still a tie, the pot will be split.  To keep me honest, every Friday (or Thursday) I will send out a “Who picked Who” so you can score at home. 

If the weekly pick ‘em pool doesn’t tickle your fancy, I am also running a year long pick ‘em pool.  The entry fee for this will be $20.  The game works the same way, each week you will get the list of picks, and I need that back by Friday.  The only difference is, this is for the whole season.  The payout for this will be as follows:

1^st – 75%

2^nd – 15%

3^rd – 10 %

So if 10 people join, winner will get $150, second $30, third $20. 

I have attached Week 1’s games.  For those of you who don’t have excel, the games will also appear at the bottom.  Money and picks are due to me by Thursday.  Just let me know if you want in for the weekly, season or both.
