I love it. I also agree. The students will follow our lead, not jsut about the law, but also about how we treat others, and life in general. This day and time to rely only on parents to guide students about morality, is not as useful as it once was, since alot of young people do not have the prental guidance that is needed.
I believe that as teachers the example we set before our class, is also a display of our morality. Whether we like it or not we are examples, and should be the best ones we can be.
