I happen to have an extra trainer which I used all of last winter, but it's
making a weird sound right now; it does not have a fluid resistance so I guess
it must have a problem with whatever it has inside. I will try and make it down
to Prov Bike this weekend so see if they can fix it, if that were the case then
I could lend someone this trainer. I will keep all of you posted.

A trainer is not a guy with a whip who yells at you to ride faster, it's
a stand for your bike that lets you ride indoors.
First Question: Does anyone out there have any old trainer(s) they
could donate/lend to the club for this winter?
Second: Are there any club members out there who would like to train
indoors but don't have a trainer and would like to use one?
The club has some funds to purchase a trainer or two (we've just bought
one), so I'll try to as fairly as possible share these out for use by
members without their own. They are also available for about $100 on
Performance.com, and also at Providence Bicycle.
Also, we're in the process of trying to book a room to get together and
do some training. Info in a day or two. The club owns the video "Train
Right: Time Trial" by Charmichael Training Systems, so we may be able to
watch that as a group on the trainers or spinbikes! Anyone else out
there have any of these videos?
And come out and ride outdoors (it's sooooo much better!) today at 3 pm
from Faunce with me.
Kate.
