The key to being ready to hit the road next year? Your work during the
off-season. This session will focus on time-tested winter activities
that
have been proven producers by decades of European cycling champions,
adapted
to the needs of New England amateur or enthusiast riders: Fixed gear
training, dressing for cold weather riding, indoor trainer work, and
cycling-specific indoor gym workouts. Handouts will include winter
training
documents that will help you design the right program to get you fit
for
spring!
'Soigneur Confidential' with Jim Emo: Thurs. Jan. 22 , 7:30 PM
Massage is an important ingredient almost always overlooked by
American
cyclists. USCF certified and former CCB International Soigneur Jim
Emo will
give a talk and demonstration about massage and personal care for the
cyclist, with an emphasis on self-massage, and leg preparations for
different climatic conditions.

Former Irish Internationals & Olympians Paul McCormack & Gary Thomson
will
be back to talk about their days racing (and sometimes beating) the
world's
best in races like the Coors Classic, World Championships, Nissan
Tour of
Ireland, Ras Tailtean, Tour de L'Avenir, Milk Race and more! Great

Nutrition for Better Cycling Performance: Thurs. Feb. 26, 7:30 PM
Gels, Bars, Drink Mixes, Powders...separate the baloney from the
facts.
Enervit USA's David Bond's 13 years representing nutrition companies
like
Power Bar, GU and Enervit give him a wealth of insight into the world
of
nutrition for cycling. David will conduct a seminar focused on the
principles of choosing the right nutrition products for your ride, an
integrating them with a better diet for fitness.
Bike Care for Beginners: Thurs. Mar. 4, 7:30 PM
Eddy O'Rourke will conduct a seminar on simple maintenance and care
of your
road or mountain bike. This session will be geared for beginning
cyclists,
and focus on the basics every bike owner should know, like changing
tires,
safety check, and simple brake and derailleur adjustment, cleaning
and
lubrication.
