This site is for use as a communication and information tool regarding cycling that begins in the Brookside area of Kansas City, MO and other rides that may be of interest. Reminders for upcoming rides are sent out as special notices or as reminders from the calendar link. All other messages will be regular emails.

Thursday: The original Brookside Ride LEAVES at 6:30 pm from behind the Roasterie, 62 Terr. Brookside. This is a moderate paced ride but you should be able to go 10 mph. We regroup at the Village Church and just east of 79 and Lamar where riders can choose to take a 14 mile or 16-17 mile route. The faster Brookside Hooper's ride starts behind Hooper's at 63 Main. Avg. speed 16-18 mph for 20 miles. We ride all year, weather permitting. From September to the end of March headlights and taillights are REQUIRED. Routes are shown on a map in the FILES section. After the ride you are invited to join us for food and drink at Hooper's.

The Turtles ride on Wednesdays during the warm months, Sat. Sun. by email notices. Starts behind the Brooksider Bar.

Sunday: Fall, Winter, early Spring, the Bloomsday Ride leaves from the north parking lot, 62nd Terr./Brookside. In cold weather, we ride if road conditions allow. Check weekly messages for updates and time changes. We alternate going to Downtown KCMO or Whole Foods on 91st. The group may divide, with some going short (16 miles) and some from 30 to 50 miles.
