You could say that again!!! Wouldn't Carter have been better off
managing the Brooklyn Cyclones, with its huge fan base and made-to-
order media access??? Jeez, this seems like a real step down for The
Kid. I can't imagine there isn't a place for him somewhere on a major
league coaching staff....(Actually, why in the world did the Mets
puts that clubhouse cancer Ricky Henderson at first base, when they
could have hired The Kid, Gary Carter, to infuse some energy and
class into the organization as first base/catching coach??? Gary
would have been a real cheerleader, but I imagine Mr. Willie would
have felt threatened.....
