The Orange County Flyers announced that their new manager in 2008 will be Fullerton, California native Gary Carter. Carter, who attended Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, is an 11-time Major League All-Star who won 5 Silver Slugger and 3 Gold Glove awards during his Hall of Fame career. He was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame as the lone member to don a Expos Cap. He also played on the 1986 New York Mets team that beat the Boston Red Sox in the World Series
