Finally done.
Still can't see why this took so long especially since the current owners already owned a successful team on a higher level for the past 7 years.
I can only imagine if it was neophyte owners who wanted to buy the NJ Cards, we'd probably still be waiting for the league schedule to be released.
Oh wait we still are LOL

"The Yankees called me and we got together," Pitts said last night from his home in Mountain Home, Ark. "They wanted somebody with experience, and that's one thing I have -- a pretty long resume."
Pitts played in 28 games with the Oakland Athletics during the 1974 and 1975 seasons, batting .250 as a utility infielder. He spent the rest of his 13 professional seasons in the minors, paving the way for his next career.
"I spent five seasons (1991-1995) with Joe Torre in St. Louis," said Pitts of his major-league coaching experience. "I asked Joe to put in a word for me on this job."
Pitts said he was ready to return to baseball following a two-year absence. He had double-hip replacement surgery and spent last spring watching his son, Travis, play his senior year of baseball at Mountain Home HS.
"I took a couple of years off to get healthy," said Pitts. "I got that taken care of and I'm feeling good now. I had a couple of other coaching offers but the Yankees called and I was flattered that they wanted me to manage. I really wanted to manage again."
Pitts has managed 17 seasons in the minors, mostly with the St. Louis Cardinals' organization. He spent six seasons (1998-2003) as skipper of the Memphis Redbirds of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League, leading the 2000 club into the Triple-A World Series. He twice earned Manager of the Year honors -- with Arkansas of the Double-A Texas League in 1989 and with Springfield of the Single-A Midwest League in 1986.
