LOL. This would be my dream come true...

an Extra Innings/ Post Game show interview after a big win (like a
post season series win or a wild card clinch) when everyone is
celebrating and spraying champagne... in that game Bronson Arroyo
pitched 7 shutout innings and then loaded the bases in the 8th and
then Ramiro Mendoza comes in and gets out of the jam and ends the
game and they win, 8-0, and then in the post they show both Bronson
Arroyo and Ramiro Mendoza, shirtless and covered in champagne,
hugging eachother (we like the manlove here in Boston), and then
Mendoza drops the towel that he was wearing and yeah ok...

Kelli, don't worry it wasn't spectacular. I mean I could tell he had
no shirt on, and that he was wet/sweaty/hot or whatever but I
couldn't see whether he had a six pack or anything.

I would like to know... how many people saw that interview and what

Maureen,

We did trade Kris Benson last night to the Mets and got Ty Wiggington
in return.

Yes, I do live in Pittsburgh and have been a loyal fan of Bronson's
since he first started with the Pirates in 2000. Have you ever met
him? He's such a sweetheart. I miss him being here. I'm so happy
he's doing well with Boston and actually getting respect there. He
didn't much of that here because he didn't do that great when he was
here. Then again, the poor kid was not quite ready to be up in the
majors but pushed to be because of all our injuries. Then he was up
and down in the minors so much, he told me one time he literally felt
like a yo-yo!!! LOL I'm glad all that stuff involving him trying to
make 5th starter is over and he's proven himself now. :)

As for that interview, I keep hearing from all different people how
awesome it was to watch and more details, more details, and more
details...BOY, I wish I could've seen it.........you guys are
driving me absolutely crazy!!!!!! LOL I wish just ONE person had it
on tape for me......LOL ;) Was it really THAT good???? LOL

He did great in that game last night! :) He's pitched a gem in his
last 4 out of 5 starts if I'm not mistaken. I wasn't lucky enough to
see that interview after the game last night...mainly because I live

married... For those who don't want to believe me, copy and paste

First of all, I wanted to say that you and your sister have VERY good
taste... ;) I love Bronson, too and have been a fan of his since he
came to Pittsburgh in 2000 and have met him numerous times and I
must say, he is the sweetest man and couldn't be any nicer! I just
hope he doesn't change as he gets more popular in Boston! LOL Have
you ever met him?

Anyway, to answer your question, I think as the 2004 season
approaches, he's going to start having more photos taken, because of
spring training and the talk of him maybe becoming their #5 starter
or the "long relief" pitcher in their bullpen. I'm noticing he's
also starting to get way more popular in Boston than with the
Pirates, therefore, I think he'll be starting to get more photos
taken mainly because he'll be pitching in more games, etc, too. Just
give it time. :)

I did find two photos of him just this past week dressed in a Santa
Claus hat helping out with some other Red Sox players on their
Holiday Caravan helping the needy. Look in the photos to see them. :)

I think Boston is getting a good team together and have a good chance
mainly because of that good rotation they're going to have, with the
addition of Bronson, of course...LOL. With the acquisition of Curt
Schilling and trying to get A-Rod, they may actually be able to break
that curse! I just wish they didn't have to try to get rid of Manny
and Nomar in the process. :( I also liked all the ex-Pirates on the
team and Bronson's the only one left now so I hope they keep him! LOL

Anyway, I hope as the 2004 spring training gets closer, that more
people in the club will start posting their comments and ideas and
get this club going since I know there are many fans of his out there
and hopefully more to come! :)

Members, please feel free to post your thoughts on Bronson in this
club because that's what it's here for! :)

Did Bronson find his new "home" with the Red Sox? I think he has. :)
I've seen on the Boston Red Sox Fan Forum many fans have posted that
they are hoping he gets to be one of the starters for the rotation in
2004, so that's great, and if he doesn't, then at least make the long-
term relief pitcher in the bullpen! :) The fans seem to love him,
which is great, so I'm happy for him and hope that all works out for
him! He pitched in a few major league games in 2003 and even got a
few innings in for the playoffs against the Yankees, and the fans
(and Theo Epstein-GM) seem to be impressed! :)

I guess not much now should be new until Spring Training 2004, when
the catchers and pitchers report, which is in the beginning of
February (not sure of exact dates), but it's roughly 3 months
regardless. So, baseball will be back before we know it! :)

Bronson became the fourth pitcher in the 120 years of the
International League that pitched a perfect 9-inning, no-hitter game
for the Pawtucket Red Sox on Sunday, August 10, 2003. He was an All-
Star back in July, 2003. Theo Epstein (Boston's GM) said there's a
very good chance he'll make the rotation in 2004 and they're going to
bring him up in September when the roster expands to 40-man.
Congratulations, Bronson!!!! Keep up the great work!!! :)

In early February 2003, Bronson was put on waivers by the Pirates and
claimed by the Boston Red Sox. Well, he was there for spring
training until the last day before the season started in early April,
when he got sent to AAA, the Pawtucket Red Sox, and he's been
pitching there since. He's doing pretty good with them as a starting
pitcher, going 4-1 in 7 games with an ERA of 3.57 and he's also been
called "Pawtucket ace starter". He also had his number changed from
#69 (Pirates), to #61 (with Boston at spring training), to #33
(Pawtucket). If you would like to keep up with his stats, etc., go
to http://www.pawsox.com
