I did watch the game too. Now correct me if I am wrong, didn't HE load
the bases and then WALK-IN the walk-off run??? I completely agree with
the lack of run support - but this is one loss I can't totally blame on
the rest of the team. It stinks that they were tied, but it's his job
as the pitcher to hold the Padres to that tie.
Also, if Bronson is tired or his arm felt stressed, it's his
responsibility to speak up about it. He's not the type of pitcher who
typically tires after 100 or so pitches, which we all know, so I am
sure he was fine.
I, too, would like to see him on a team more worthy of him, however,
this is the first management that has truly respected his talent
(Pittsburg and Boston OBVIOUSLY didn't) and I think that speaks more to
Bronson than a run at the playoffs.
