We start our countdown to the new BBL season with a preview of the
runners and riders in the Northern Conference.. plus the thoughts of
Birmingham coach Mike Finger and Leicester coach Tim Darling on their
new-look teams.
Chester Jets announced that US forward Kenny Pratt will be out for the
entire season after sustaining an achilles injury.
Brighton Bears signed 6'8 Canadian rookie forward Jan Trojanowski, who
was a first team All-Canadian last year at Arcadia University, Nova
Scotia and averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds per game.
The BBL confirmed that the 2000 All-Star game will be held at the MEN
Arena, Manchester.
Killester Ladies will have a new coach for the coming season in American
Stephen Eberley, a former assistant at Rider, Harvard and Boston
Universities. Former chief Pat McKenna moves to the Men's team alongside
Peter Ferrari and Martin Grennell.
