The BBL has revealed its biggest ever sponsorship deal, with snack food
brand Dairylea Dunkers signing a multi-million pound three year
agreement to sponsor the British Championship. The new sponsorship deal
includes title rights to the competition, which will be known as the
'Dairylea Dunkers Championship.' and replaces existing sponsors
Budweiser.
Derby Storm have announced that ex-Phoenix Sun Richard Dumas will not be
part of their BBL campaign this season. The 30-year-old forward is set
to join either a club in Croatia or Italy.
Irish side Clare Jets have appointed Sean Rivers, a former Assistant
Coach at Marquette, as General Manager.
England internationals Steve Hansell and Nick Donovan signed for Greek
side AEK Athens. Hansell spent last season with Fortitudo Bologna while
Donovan was with Derby Storm. AEK also signed Irish international Dan
O'Sullivan.
Scottish Women's league side Edinburgh 3/4ers merged with Denny junior
club. The new senior side will be known as Doorcentre Denny BC. The club
also signed Scotland international Kerrie Marshall from Polonia Phoenix.
Former Manchester and Leopards centre Makeba Perry signed for Japanese
side Zexel. Ex-Towers and Newcastle guard Dwayne Morton joined Hitachi
Honsya of the same league.
