London Towers have been drawn into Group G of the Saporta Cup with
Plannja Basket (Sweden), Darussafaka SK Darnagi (Turkey), BC Split
(Croatia), BBC Okapl Aalst (Belgium) and Pall, Olimpia Milano SSRL
(Italy).

Leopards have been drawn against Icelandic side Reykjanesbaer in the
preliminary round of the Korac Cup, a two legged tie starting on 15th
September. Leopards confirmed Billy Mims as coach for a sixth season.

Milton Keynes Lions named former Newcastle and Oldham coach Tom Hancock
as their new coach.

Birmingham Bullets signed Barbadian international guard Nigel Lloyd for
fifth season. The team captain averaged 22ppg last season.

Brighton Bears signed 2.01 Canadian forward Bill Crowdis out of
Durham College (Canada). Bears also re-signed British guard Daniel
Hildreth and 2.01 British forward Stuart Newman.

Thames Valley Tigers re-signed 1.77m British guard Mark Jackson for a
second season.

Chester Jets signed 1.98m American former Tulane University guard Correy
Childs.

London Towers re-signed US small forward Malcolm Leak for a second
season. Leak averaged 17.97 points per game and made the All-Star team
last season.

Thames Valley signed US forward Billy Singleton, who spent last season
with Leicester averaging 18.67 points 9.86 rebounds per game. Tigers
also signed 2.01m American forward Tony Christie from Clemson
University.

Sheffield Sharks signed American guard Nate Reinking from Derby.
Reinking averaged 17 points and 4 assists last season.

Manchester Giants signed American guard Travis Conlan from Sheffield
Sharks. Conlan averaged 14.19 points, 4.81 rebounds, 6.19 assists and
2.83 steals per game for Sheffield in his rookie season out of
University of Michigan.

Giants also signed 1.89m American guard Porter Roberts, who played one
game for the club last season. Roberts finished the campaign in France
Pro B with St. Etienne notching 18 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2
steals per game.

Thames Valley Tigers re-signed American point guard Casey Arena for a
third season. Arena led the league in steals in 98/99 and was second in
assists. Tigers also re-signed forward/centre Jason Siemon for a third
season - Siemon will play as a non-permit player.

Brighton Bears signed 1.89m All-American guard Lormont Sharp who
averaged 22 ppg for Clarion University, Pennsylvania of the NCAA II.

Newcastle Eagles have been sold to a consortia of the existing
management by previous owners the Hall Family.
