Hi,

Yeah, it was good. Your absence was noted! Lovely atmosphere up there
- lots of racers and lots of spectators as the weather was so nice.

The longer races were still hard - the championship race especially
so. But I am finding my feet on the dash and the Devil now (just
outside points on both) - so it's much more enjoyable!

Will be at training tonight - you coming?

Hi

Ah I'm gutted I couldn't go - esp as I was in top 3 of B league...unfortunately
have a had a bad cold all week (hence not being at PP) and will be off bike 'til
it all clears up...hope to be back 'on track' (groan...) next Weds...

Well done on getting near the points..esp on the Devil as it requires brains,
tactics and stamina (with the odd bit of cheekiness thrown in)!

Hi,

Ah man, such a shame - I hope you get better soon.

Indeed - Andy Parle gave me a few hints on the Devil and the Dash -
which REALLY helped me get my head around those two races. I even
tried the cheekiness as well (ending up on the grass when I was boxed
in - it was that or crash basically) and ended up effectively getting
DQ'd...

I am planning some 20 second interval sessions in the next week to
help with the longer races. It's all about staying in touch with the
changes in pace from what I can work out - which are so much sharper
on the track than on the road.

HI Alan

Yep - all sounds good...shame about the DQ but you have to try it
sometimes....you can of course also - ahem - mark someone and effectively ensure
you eliminate them if it all gets a bit sticky (hey - it's you or them man!).

Agreed  - the accelerations are very difficult on the track - you may also want
to investigate different gearing options depending on your fitness and how windy
it is on any given night.

Ah man, such a shame - I hope you get better soon.

Indeed - Andy Parle gave me a few hints on the Devil and the Dash - which REALLY
helped me get my head around those two races. I even tried the cheekiness as
well (ending up on the grass when I was boxed in - it was that or crash
basically) and ended up effectively getting DQ'd...

I am planning some 20 second interval sessions in the next week to help with the
longer races. It's all about staying in touch with the changes in pace from what
I can work out - which are so much sharper on the track than on the road.

The Southern Counties Cycling Union 50-mile time trial takes place on Sunday
24th June.

As a member of the SCCU with competing club members, Brighton Mitre is obliged
to provide TWO people to help Marshall the event.

Therefore, this is a request for Marshalls who are able to help out on that
date.

If push comes to shove, I will be one of the Marshalls. However, I would like to
race the event and, having been one of those who supports the road racers by
judging at Hove Park, allowing them to do their thing, I would be grateful if
some of the road racers would be willing to come forward and support the

       To all Mitres.



The Southern Counties Cycling Union 50-mile time trial takes place on Sunday
24th June.



As a member of the SCCU with competing club members, Brighton Mitre is obliged
to provide TWO people to help Marshall the event.



Therefore, this is a request for Marshalls who are able to help out on that
date.



If push comes to shove, I will be one of the Marshalls. However, I would like to
race the event and, having been one of those who supports the road racers by
judging at Hove Park, allowing them to do their thing, I would be grateful if
some of the road racers would be willing to come forward and support the
testers, allowing us to do our thing!

Someone might need to check the rules on this but I beleive that second cats CAN
ride races they have pre-entered as third cats but are not eligible for any
points.... worth checking if you want to ride.

Hi Luke - I have either a large or medium short sleeve with full zip, Stuart
gave to me for free and I'm happy to do the same.  It's miles too small for me.
