Hey Gang,

Breakfast and I might not be able to do the fish fry this week, due
to another commitment. We'll post when we know more.

Al (our favorite brewer) is having a birthday party at The Tasting
Room, on saturday night. There's a cover of $3, because they have
music. Al will have one of his beers on tap. I think it will be his
whiskey barrel aged scotch ale. I don't have the address for the
Tasting Room, but it's by Wolsky's, near the river, on the East
Side.

On-On,

There are two beer tastings coming up, actually on the same weekend.
Saturday Feb 7th is the Best of Wisconsins Food and Froth festival at the
Milwaukee Public museum. All proceeds benefit the museum restoration. And
on Sunday Feb 8th is the Milwaukee Ale House fest. The Ale house fest
benefits the MACC fund.

The F&F is kinda a nice fest, but you can still get wasted and tour the
museum. The Ale house is all about the drinking. Oh yeah, and raising
money for the MACC Fund. Stop by Water Street Brewery and say hello.

Billy

If anyone in your hash is interested in attending the infamous Chicago Hash Ball on Feb 20th, get the info, Email me (Mudsucker at mabendas@...) and send a check in.  The registration form is below.

Forward this to any other area hashes as well.  Not sure if I have a good contact for Madison.

Last year we had 46, the max for the room.  It was a big hit…  We had a few Waukesha’ers there, and they loved it!!!    This year we moved it to a Friday night (late enough so that visitors have time to get in – we won’t be eating until nearly 9pm) so that we could get a bigger room.  Handles up to 90, we are expecting at least 60, could be a lot more.

Must be registered and pre-paid!!  We have to give the restaurant a final count the Monday before the ball – so no last minute “show ups”.

Email Soar Balls at Jim Blomquist (jbquist1@...) if you need a place to stay, he is coordinating places to stay (crash pads with Chicago hashers) for visitors.

If there are enough interested visitors, we will move our Sunday hash to Saturday as a Recovery Hash for the Hash Ball.

Hello Waukesha!

The Annual V-day quad hash between Keno/2nd City/Chicago/Waukesha is fast approaching on February 15th.  Venue is yet to be determined but sounds like somewhere just south of Kenosha.  There will be a hare representing each hash.  Theme is the standard Valentines attire.

I was originally scheduled to hare but it turns out I have a wedding to attend in Madison and cannot make it.  So we need a hare from Waukesha.  PLeeeeease contact me if you can help out.  Just repsond to this email.  Help!

Sorry, I grabbed the date off of the Cream City Suds website. (The
2nd must have been last years date.) This year it's SUNDAY-SUNDAY-

The cost last year (if I remember) was $25 for a bottomless glass of

Ooops. Hold on.

Looks like we might be able to squeeze the Nesco cooker in the car.
If we can't, I'll post again that someone needs to pick it up and
take it to Calumet.

On-On,
Last Hole

1)  Bill and I are driving up Thursday in his Hummer so we'll have plenty of room to bring up the keg if no one has volunteered yet.

2)  A few of us are planning on going to a Michigan Tech hockey game this weekend in Houghton.  They are playing North Dakota Fri. and Sat. nights.  North Dakota is #1 in the country (Wisconsin is #3), so we will be BIG Tech fans this weekend.  If we are planning a dinner on Sat. night, we will go the Fri. game.  Let me know if you want to go!!!

There is a GREAT microbrewery in Houghton. It's called The Library ...
driving towards the bridge on Houghton's main street, you'll turn right on
Isle Royale St. Immediately on your left is the bar. Again, it's fantastic
beer! You could always buy a keg there. Just pack the tapper.

There seems to be still a problem for at least some of us when it
comes to posting messages. I know that Cornballer has some important
info for the ski trip but is unable to get it out. I'll try and find
out what that info is and pass it along to everyone.
