Hey there Heddy fans!<br><br>I just added 6 new
Bret photos to the photo album, making the grand total
to 16 photos (whoopee!)<br><br>My particular
favorite is photos 10 and 11: the ones where he is in a
suit (from the Panthers website). Gosh, he's looks

Why does Hedican only score goals when I'm not
watching?? I was hoping my mom saw the goal.. but she missed
it too cuz she wasn't home (which in itself is
amazing since she has a broken leg and rarely goes
anywhere). <br><br>Heddy got the Panthers going with a Power
Play goal so that the Panthers could go on to win 4-3
=) .. hopefully this doesn't mean the Canucks are
going to lose tomorrow night.. its really weird cuz as
the Panthers have been losing... the Canucks have
been winning =)

Oh no... Not Billy too! I don't understand. Maybe
they're friends cause they look up to him cause they grew
up with him being this big superstar. He can't be
just a nice person they like hanging out with! That's
just wrong! <br><br>And agreed we should totally be
GM. We'd have the BEST team. How about when I win the
$15 million tomorrow I go see Burke and say sorry
pal, I'm GM now. I'd have convinced Pavel to stay! And
then I would NEVER have traded Pavel. I think with all
of us as GM's and website-makers this team would be
so good! We'd come up with good ways to bring the
fans in! Wouldn't you love to see a WOMAN GM? I think
in this day and age it should happen. I think I
wanna be the first woman GM. That's my goal and
dream!!!

Just cuz they're friends with Mark .. doesn't
mean we have to like him.. lol. I knew about this
too.. never understood it.. but I knew about it.
<br><br>It was funny today watching the All-Star Skills Comp
and watching Bure and Mess chatting it up.. It's
still weird thinking of Bure as a panther.. wish he was
still on the Canucks.. don't like him as a person.. but
he sure can score goals! If only we were the GM's..
lol =) (Plus if he was still a Canuck .. we might
still have Heddy!)

LOL...I had actually heard awhile ago that he and
Mark hung out outside of hockey...strange, since they
didn't really seems like they'd be friends. I'm starting
to wonder, cuz isn't/wasn't Billy and Mark friends
too??? This is wrong lol...

Well, I thought I love Bret, why not join the
club! So here I am! But I'm going to start off with
some unsetelling news. I'm reading the Vancouver Sun
today, a huge article on Grandpa. Then I get to this
part: "[Mark] bit his tongue, played good soldier when
friends like Mike Keenan were being mowed down the line
of duty and close friends like Bret Hedican were
being transformed to quarters elsewhere."<br>Excuse
me?? Am I the only one that did not know about this?
Mark and Bret were CLOSE FRIENDS??? NO!!!!!!! I don't
believe it! Not our Bret!!! They must be wrong! Mark's
lying! Oh... This disturbs me.

Heddy got the Game Winning Goal in the game vs the Oilers... yes! =)

Heddy scored another awesome goal with a wrist
shot from the point that went smoothly thru alot of
traffic into the net =)<br><br>I'm SO happy I got
released from the hopsital today (just had my surgery
yesterday) .. yeah! =)

I wish I had been watching the game.. I seem to miss EVERY goal he scores.. lol.
Just got home from a New Year's party.. so I'm not watching the game.. wish I
was though =P

I guess they all hear it so many times they never
really listen anymore...I know I'd just tune it out
after awhile lol...they're probably thinking of the
game and what they have to do, not listening to the
words or music, so no wonder no one noticed lol.

Wanna here something funny .. at the Calgary -
Vancouver game they played the US Anthem.. lol. Usually you
never get that in all canadaian team games, so after it
was over all the Canucks skated to the bench.. lol.
Even we thought that was it, we all didn't clue in
that what they had just played was the american anthem
and not the canadian.. lol. So they all just stood by
the bench for the Canadian anthem.. lol.

You know, I noticed that Billy Muckalt does the
same thing...he stood on the bench, helmet off (yeah
baby!) until the anthem was completely over, even though
a lot of the players were already sitting back down
and getting ready for the face off. I thought it was
quite cool of him to do that.

If they turn out okay, I'll be sure to pass them
along to The Bret Net since I love that site so
much!<br><br>One thing I noticed about Bret that impressed me is
that he stood still the entire anthem just staring at
the American flag. And then when it finishing other
players had started skating around and he stood there
staring at the flag till his anthem was completely over.
There's a patriotic man!

That is so cool!!! =) I wish I'd been able to see
him play in a game this year =( Also wish I'd hung
out at the Saddledome after the Calgary game.. at
least I would have seen him (I now know that in Calgary
some players take a cab to the game so its real easy
to meet them.. and after the game they have it set
up so you can hang out to get autographs from the
guys =) ) <br><br>You'll have to show us your pics
when you get them =)

Well, I ended up seeing alot of guys that I knew
were Panthers and had no clue who they were...and
Bret! <br><br>Half the team walked over from the hotel
and the other half rode the bus. Lucky for me, Bret
chose to walk and me and a friend got our pics with
him. I think he seemed genuinly surprised someone in
Dallas knew his name and was going so nuts for him. We
both got pics with him and I told him I wished him
luck for the game. My friend was laughing at how
nervous I got when I knew it was him walking our way.
<br><br>We also met Trevor Kidd and Rob Niedemeyer which was
very cool! But, of course, Bret was the highlight! And
I screamed my head off for him the whole game. As
they announced the starting line-up and said his name,
I let out my LOUDEST scream and I can swear the man
actually got looked around for a second as if he heard!

I am the biggest idiot lol...when I went to reply
to your message, I accidentally deleted it! (The
buttons are right beside each other)<br><br>For those
that missed the post, she was going to see if she
could meet Bret....so what happened?<br><br>Did you run
into any Panthers (OK, who are we kidding, I could
care less about the rest of the Panthers lol...did you
see bret??) Get any pics?

Of course, since I don't get to see games, I miss
all of Bret's goals lol...actually, today Headline
Sports and Sportsnet were replaying the goal he got last
night. I just have to ask how many times Bret will be
overshadowed by Bure, it's getting a little annoying!

Bret has been suspended for 3 games for an
unintentional slash against Sami Salo that broke Salo's arm.
This means Bret will miss games in Edmonton, Vancouver
and Calgary, so Meeko and I won't be able to see him
play. I'm really upset about this, as I know a lot of
his Vancouver fans will be...hopefully the Panthers
will have practice at 8 Rinks and I can go see him or
something. At least I like the Canucks and can watch them
instead of the Panthers, I just feel bad for Meeko, who
hates the Oilers and the Flames!

Bret's set a wedding date...he'll be marrying Kristi Yamaguchi on July 8, 2000.

I've had news that Bret has been participating in
various hockey camps in Minnesota, and is hosting a
charity golf tournament at the Oak Ridge Golf Course in
MN on August 17th. Prizes such as Heddy and Bure
jerseys, amoung other things, will be up for grabs. So if
any of you are in Minnesota, you can catch Bret
there.

h my word<br>i am so glad i found this club<br>i
live in vancouver and have been crying myself to sleep
at night since our idiotic management traded him
away. at least now i'll be able to keep up to date with
his stats. Trading Bret was the biggest mistake. He
was a great defenseman in vancouver but was never
really given the recognition he deserved. <br>Kit ;Þ
