<br>Currently in his 11th season in the NHL and fourth with the
Florida Panthers... also played for St. Louis (1991-94)
and Vancouver (1994-99)... had 33 goals, 147 assists
and 180 points (thru Dec. 4)... recognized as one of
the best skating defensemen in the NHL... member of
the 1992 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team... member of the
U.S. National Team in 1997, '99 and 2001... drafted by
the St. Louis Blues in 1988 as the 198th pick in the
10th round... played college hockey at St. Cloud State
from 1988-91 and had 27 goals, 50 assists and 77
points... ranks 24th among SCSU's Div. I skaters for most
career points... still owns SCSU records for most goals
in a season by a defenseman with 18 in '90-91, most
points by a defenseman with 48 in '90-91, most goals in

Guelph on 1/5/91, and most points in a game with six vs
Guelph... was the first player in SCSU history to gain
All-WCHA honors in 1990-91 and the first to be named to
the All-WCHA squad as a first team selection...
earned WCHA All-Academic honors in '90-91... graduate of
N. St. Paul HS, where he lettered in hockey, golf,
soccer and football...participated in 1990 U.S. Olympic
Festival for Team North... majored in physical therapy at
SCSU... married to figure skater and 1992 gold medalist
Kristi Yamaguchi.
