True story:

My sister and her boyfriend were at the Cheesecake Factory in
Crabtree a few weeks ago. They ate their dinner with the owner's son.
He told my sister that his dad was looking to SELL the entire
Carolina Hurricane's team and the organization. He would then attempt
to buy the Colorado Avalanche. I could not comprehend why he would do
this. Yeah, they had one bad season, and a sub par season this year.
That is no excuse to QUIT on the team. After all, they did make it to
the Stanley Cup finals, two years ago this month. Its possible to
reach that goal again.


For those of you who don't care, ignore this post. For the others, I
was interested to see if we could start a petition on and off line
and I was curious to see how many of you would sign it. I am
persoanlly outraged that the owner would even think about selling and
moving the team. The son told both my sister and her boyfriend that
his father was looking to either trade all the players that he could,
and then have the other's contracts bought out.

Can we petition this? If we can, who is willing to help?
