Dear Futsal Player,

Tri-Valley Futsal welcomes all soccer players to participate in the greatest
indoor soccer game ever. The Tri-Valley Futsal League encompasses the cities of
Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, Fremont, Castro Valley, San Ramon and Danville.
Our Mission is to promote and organize Futsal matches and competition in the
Tri-Valley area.

“I like futsal…There are no walls on a futsal court, just “touch” lines like in
outdoor soccer… Futsal rewards cleverness, guile, and quick feet. Players have
to move and think quickly. Transition and movement are key... I really liked
the improvement in foot skills and confidence that I saw.

Hello Tim

My name is Morris. I am based in Africa, Kenya. I would like to setup futsal in
kenya, we do not have futsal here and i would like to be the pioneer by setting
up some futsal courts. I am looking for any information on costing of the
courts, like the price of turf, price of netting etc.

Any help or advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Commentary from Tim Sheldon
RICHMOND, Va. (7-19-08) - The basic problem with the U.S. selection playing in
the FIFA Futsal World Championship in Brazil is that most or all of the players
don't play Futsal. Under the best of circumstances it would be difficult to face
teams such as Brazil, Spain, Italy and Argentina in a world tournament, but it
get even worse if you don't actually play the game..
U.S. Coach Keith Tozer is head coach of the Milwaukee Wave of the Major Indoor
Soccer League (MISL), which either is in transition or has gone out of business,
depending on whom you talk to. Most of the players on Tozer's roster have been
drawn from the MISL, which plays the six-a-side wall game.
The U.S. team may be competitive at a mid level in world Futsal, but it can not
be expected to compete at the top level against teams that are drawn from
top-flight professional Futsal leagues throughout the world and have only to
fine-tune their game for this tournament.

The need is obvious for a professional Futsal league in the U.S. producing
players for the national team. Futsal has been in this country for the past 27
years, but there has been no serious attempt to create a professional league.
The basic problem is that U.S. Soccer controls international Futsal competition
and has stocked the U.S. selections with players from the wall game who relate
to Futsal only as an afterthought.
That system could change now, however, in light of recent events. MISL has gone
into a transition stage, and there is no professional indoor league to provide
players. This is a great opportunity for MISL to resurface playing by FIFA
indoor rules, or for an entirely new professional futsal league to emerge with
the support of U.S. Soccer and FIFA.

MISL Should Join the Rest of the World and Use Side and End Lines

Commentary from Tim Sheldon
RICHMOND, Va. (7-11-08) - I'll say it again: the Major Indoor Soccer League
(MISL) should switch to the World Indoor Game, and in some ways it already has.

The MISL plays six-a-side indoor soccer with dasher boards for its league games,
but it also plays Futsal regularly in international competition. Virtually the
entire roster of most U.S. Futsal selections is comprised of MISL players.

Futsal is the unchallenged World Indoor Game. Several years ago, there was some
brief discussion about using dasher boards in international competition, but the
idea was summarily dropped.

The MISL could easily drop the dasher boards and adopt the side and end lines
used by the rest of the world. We realize MISL is a business, and if they're
succeeding with a certain set of rules they would not want to tamper with it.
But we feel that by adopting the univerally accepted international rules MISL
would retain the best of what they have now and get even better.

(Photo: Action with walls in the MISL. The boards are not necessary in indoor
soccer.)

In the transitional stage, MISL would not necessarily have the call their game
Futsal if that created marketing problems, and, for similar reasons, they could
continue to use the turf and six players. But it would be a major step forward
if the league dropped the anachronistic dasher boards and joined the rest of the
world with side and end lines.
The world indoor game is Futsal.

It was developed by Juan Carlos Ceriani in Uruguay in 1930 for use in YMCAs and
became very popular in Brazil and other South American Countries. All of the
great Brazilian stars, including Ronaldo, grew up playing Futsal. Ronaldo has
called the game his "first love" and has said that it is the key to his success
on the outdoor field. Futsal is now played all over the world, and UEFA, in
particular, has made great strides developing the sport. Asia is producing
excellent national teams, and Oceania just completed an impressive FIFA Futsal
qualifying tournament.

The indoor wall game was developed by U.S. marketers who thought erroneously
that the walls would add speed and excitement to the game. The walls actually
slow down the game, deprive it of its natural focus and beauty and hinder the
spectators' view of the action. Basically, the MISL game is pseudo dynamic.
Coverage of the MISL is often filled with Futsal news, because MISL players are
being chosen for the U.S. Team. A league feature, a league highlight, is that it
plays Futsal, the world indoor game, in international competitions. The next
step is for them to make it their league game, as well.

Futsal Training System announces the launching of the only
comprehensive online Futsal® resource, endorsed by the United States
Futsal® Federation, that is geared toward Futsal enthusiasts,
coaches, trainers, referees and players. Futsal® Training System
features three signature proprietary products, not available anywhere
else.

Futsal Training System offers an annual online subscription service
designed to be used by futsal coaches, players and team managers at
all levels. It is an online interactive coaching tool used to review
& study drills, plays, training exercises and analyze game situations
from the comfort of your own home, 24 / 7 / 365 days a year. This
software modernizes the traditional chalk board coaching techniques
and overcomes linguistic barriers through animation and
visualization. As a training tool it is currently used by 43
national soccer associations across Europe, South and North America
as well as many amateur, youth and premier level clubs. The Futsal®
Training System software is uniquely adapted to the only small sided
game endorsed and approved by FIFA, Futsal®. Subscribing member
coaches, managers, trainers and players can log into the Fustal®
Training System's online library to view drills and animations.

Futsal Training System also announces that it has completed the, soon
to be released, and 1st ever American made, Futsal DVD that
introduces the basic elements of the game of Futsal to players,
managers and coaches in an exciting format produced by international
award winning Grassroots Films of New York. The DVD features
instructions by US Futsal's National Director of Coaches, Bill
Sampaio. Sponsored by Joma Sport and Select Sport, the DVD is
designed to be as informative as it is exciting to watch. It
provides a solid introduction to the sport for the general public who
fin themselves curiously perched along the sidelines, along with
coaching drills that will provide a solid jump start to any team's
training regiments for the upcoming season.

To round out our initial offerings, we've also prepared the 1st
edition of the republished and translated English version of the
popular Futsal Training book, Futsal, that was authored by Brazilian
born Ricardo Lucena Ferreira. This 100 plus page training book is
very simply laid out and designed to benefit every futsal coach. Its
simple illustrations and photos help to make this a tool that futsal
coaches will use for a very long time to come.

These three feature products provided exclusively by Futsal Training
System are augmented by a wide variety of futsal supplies, equipment,
apparel and shoes. In addition to these offerings, in the Fall of
2008 we will release our initial online course offerings for coaches
and referees. These online courses are under development now and
will be the most comprehensive offered anywhere in the United States
and will not only provide a great resource for all futsal coaches and
referees but will also meet all requisite certification and
recertification requirements for all U.S. Futsal licensed coaches and
referees, nationwide.

In celebration of our grand opening, Futsal Training System is
offering special 'pre-release & introductory' discounts on its
signature subscriptions, futsal training book and the first-ever,
American made introductory futsal training DVD. We encourage
everyone to take advantage of this offer which is for a limited time
only and shall expire at the end of competitions at this years U.S.
Futsal National Championships on July 13, 2008. The release of these
3 training products will coincide with the 23rd Annual U.S. Futsal
National Championships being held at the Baltimore Convention Center
in Baltimore Maryland, July 10-13, 2008.

"The United States Futsal Federation is proud and excited to team up
with Futsal Training System in providing this valuable online
resource for coaches, players & officials nationwide", says Alex J.C.
Para, President and C.E.O. of U.S. Futsal. "Our players and
competitions represent the very best that there is in the United
States and we have some of the country's best coaches embracing the
sport of Futsal®. This online resource will certainly go a very long
way toward advancing the quality of training and competitions
throughout the entire country."

Hey Futsal and Health Fans throughout the world,

Remember me from the Futsal world?
Roberto Magellan from the US National Team (Australia 1988) and World

Well, I've come in contact with a product that has been the talk of
every town in America and other parts of the world (Australia, Japan,
Brazil, Germany, France, Singapore). It's an all natural (no
caffeine) energy drink with 19 fruits (Brazilian Acai as the main
ingredient) that has been helping people with a variety of health
issues such as Arthitis, Diabetes, and 60 others (claims based on
individual testimonies, including of athletes and sports figures such
as JoeMax Moore, Jeff Bodine, and others - please research).

Anyway, if interested, click on http://mymonavie.com/magellanfamily

Tim,

Greetings! I am with the Boys & Girls Club of Lansing, MI, and we are currently
considering integrating Futsal into our physical fitness programs. Being a
non-profit organization, we are in the process of procuring funds for this
venture. I was looking around online today for estimated training costs for
coaches and referees. The Michigan Futsal page is fairly desolate, so I thought
contacting someone that seems to be very astute in the Futsal community might be
the most viable option.

We provide services to children ages 7-17 and utilize volunteer coaches and
referees for our physical education programs. I noticed in much of the
literature that Futsal has been introduced to Boys & Girls Clubs around the
nation, though we had not heard anything of it until recently. It seems like a
good fit for our inner-city location and any resources or information you can
provide us would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and have a pleasant day!

Who would not want to play Futsal here?

We have 5 courts all larger then any “National” Futsal tournaments in the USA!

Score Goal 24/7 Inc. & Utah Futsal are no longer with the US Futsal, we are
affiliated with US Soccer through our local Adult
   Utah Soccer Association.
We now have over 250 teams playing in our facility per week, plus over 100
hours of rental time each week.
This is an indication of where the Sport of Futsal has come in the last 5
years, when we first started Futsal here we had only 36 players, now there are
over
3000 Futsal Players in the State of Utah.

substitution area leave the pitch and substitute enter to pitch from
substitution area.referee stop play after advantage and show 2th yellow card to
that player and send of him with red card.the restart of play is with how many
players?(please attend to this matter that the substitute enter to the pitch and
play 1 minute before that referee stop play.)
