Starting Futsal at University - advice wanted   Message List

I have the opportunity to introduce futsal as an undergraduate
leisure skills class at a large university. I was wondering if you
have any helpful information for me as I introduce it as an
undergraduate course.

1. Can you recommend any good training materials pertaining to
futsal (videos, books, etc.) - please tell me where I can order them.

2. Do you have any drills that you find particularly helpful for new
players to get the feel of the game.

3. Can you recommend quality (but not to expensive) portable futsal
goals that can be safely used on a hardwood basketball court.

4. What ball would you recommend for training use (need to buy a
dozen or so balls for individual practice) and what would you
recommend for a match ball (again, playing indoor on hardwood court).

5. Is anyone aware of any futsal clubs or tournaments in the
Carolina area?

Please feel free to give any other advise that you think would be
helpful as I try to get something started here. I have experience
playing futsal (traveld with team in Sao Paulo for several weeks)
but this is my first opportunity to teach the game. We hope to
offer the class in Spring 2006.

Thanks!
Ryan
