Fall River Futsal League is making a final call for Winter 2005
Registrations for this Historic First winter season in of Futsal
Games. Games are scheduled to begin on February 5, 2005.

The Fall River Futsal League announces that it is preparing to begin
it's 1st year of games in February 2005. We welcome all greater Fall
River area soccer players and teams to register to play this
exciting game of Futsal for one 8 week session this winter season
with games played at the Henry Lord Middle School, 151 Amity Street
in Fall River.

At the prompting of officials of the Fall River Youth Soccer
Association (FRYSA), Bill Sampaio, the National Director of Coaches
of the United State Futsal Federation and John Kinnane, of New
England Futsal have agreed to coordinate this program in cooperation
with Maxi Carey and Tim Kaliff of the FRYSA much as they did for the
Catholic Youth Futsal Program that ran its first year of games last
winter and have done for the Norfolk County Futsal League in
Norfolk, Massachusetts. Maxi Carey of the FRYSA states, "As
president of the FRYSA, I recently met with Bill and John to discuss
the futsal program they established in Fall River for the Catholic
Schools. I came away from the meeting entirely impressed with the
passion that they have for the game as well as their desire to make
the game available to all of our children in our community. I have
pledged to work with them to coordinate resources to elevate soccer
and futsal to the highest level here in Fall River."

The Fall River Futsal League is sanctioned by the United States
Futsal Federation. USFF President Alexander Para states, "that the
United States Futsal Federation is the national governing authority
that oversees all Futsal league development, policies and
competitions throughout the United States under the auspices of the
United States Youth Soccer Association and FIFA."
