Juan Carlos Ceriani Futsal Cup Set for Tampa Oct. 28-30

TAMPA, Fla. (1-12-05) - The Tampa Soccer and Futsal Academy will be hosting the
Juan Carlos Ceriani Cup Oct. 28-30 in celebration of the sport's 75th birthday.

Futsal was created by Ceriani in 1930 in Uruguay and is becoming more popular by
the day as a world sport.

The Ceriani Cup is sanctioned by the U.S. Court Soccer Federation and the
Asociación Mundial de Futsal (AMF). Over 100 foreign countries have been invited
to send teams. The matches will take place in air-conditioned gyms throughout
the Tampa Bay Area.

Organizers say the rosters should have a maximum 12 players. Coed teams are
allowed but should have at least seven male players. The registration contact
