TAMPA, Fla. (5-26-04) - The World Court Soccer
Association and Tampa Soccer Academy are inviting
youth soccer players born in 1991, 1992 and 1993 to
try out for the U.S. selection that will take part in
the First World Cup Court Soccer Tournament to be held
in Quito, Ecuador, from July 17 through 27, 2004.
The Tampa Soccer Academy is the designated
representative in the U.S. for the Asociación Mundial
de Futsal (AMF) and is using the term "Court Soccer"
until the legality of a trademark of the term "Futsal"
held by the U.S. Futsal Federation (USFF) is
determined.
"I am looking for good boys who want to play futsal
and go with us to Quito," Fernandez said. "Parents can
also go."
The Academy said orientations for youth players began
April 17 at the Temple Terrace Recreational Center in
Tampa and will eventually lead to the selection of 12
players to represent the U.S. in Quito.
Friends, family and fans are welcomed to travel with
the team.
