The SRP Cycles of Life Bike Tour is a fun bicycle ride, sponsored by SRP, and
open to cyclist of all ages. It is designed as an event for SRP customers,
employees, Valley residents and their families. Proceeds from this event will
benefit Association of Arizona Food Banks.
The Association of Arizona Food Banks, a non profit organization with six
member food banks, brings mostly donated food from in and beyond Arizona to
statewide food banks – 71.5 million pounds last year! The food banks in turn
distribute food to senior centers, shelters, school programs, pantries, and
other social services, to feed an estimated 800,000 needy Arizonans a year. The
Association also advocates locally and nationally for more effective hunger
relief policies and programs. For more information visit www.azfoodbanks.org.
The ride is Sunday, March 4, 2007. Three routes are offered, Metric Century 57
miles starting at 7:30am; Family Fun 8 miles; Kid's Cruise 2.5 miles. It will
start and finish at the PERA Club located at 1 E Continental Drive in Tempe,
Arizona.
Adult registration is $50 per person, plus $150 in fundraising. Each rider
will receive a t-shirt. Get your cash donations in by February 15, 2007 and
receive a commemorative bike jersey per adult participant.
