The Vancouver Canucks' top line helped Dan Cloutier pull even with
Jose Theodore in the race to 100 wins.
Markus Naslund, Brendan Morrison and Todd Bertuzzi combined for three
goals and five assists and Cloutier recorded his 99th career win as
the Canucks extended their unbeaten streak against the Montreal
Canadiens to eight games with a 5-2 triumph.
In search of his 100th win, Theodore fell behind early in the first
period when former Canadien Mike Keane scored his first goal as a
Canuck. Richard Zednik pulled Montreal even with his fifth tally in
four games, but Naslund put Vancouver ahead for good at 14:57 of the
second.
Naslund unleashed a backhander from the bottom of the left circle
that glanced off the left goalpost and in for a 2-1 lead and Bertuzzi
buried a wrister from the slot at 3:15 of the third.
