An innocent pass turned into instant defeat for the Vancouver Canucks.

Simon Gagne scored 1:47 into overtime after a defensive zone turnover
by Vancouver, giving the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-3 victory.

After knotting the game with eight seconds left in regulation, the
Canucks committed a gaffe that resulted in their third loss in four
games. Defenseman Brent Sopel fed Brendan Morrison with a hard pass
the Vancouver center could not handle at his own blue line.

"I was trying to get up the ice and I got off-balance," Morrison
said. "I just tried to throw it back to the 'D' and I didn't see the
Flyer guy."

Hedberg made 23 saves and was criticized by his coach after the game.

"Terrible, can't say it any better than that," Marc Crawford
said. "He wasn't good and probably shouldn't have started him. He
needed to make more saves, and he will."

"You know what? If he said that I'm terrible, I guess that's good
enough," Hedberg responded.
