The National Hockey League has handed Vancouver Canucks forward Brad
May a one-game suspension for crosschecking Buffalo Sabres defenceman
Jay McKee on Monday.
With just over a minute left in the game and the Canucks holding a 6-
1 lead, May hit McKee in the face with a crosscheck. May was issued a
match penalty, because he was deemed to not be playing the puck.
Vancouver is set to play the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday at GM Place.
May has one assist in six games with the Canucks this season, to go
along with 17 penalty minutes.
