It was so weird. I was up at Breakaways, and had just been talking
about him with Sassy and THERE HE WAS, on the TV. And he almost
scored on Marty! LOL! Was I ever so happy to see a player return!
So then I had to go back and find out WHEN he came back.
Which would have been Tuesday, so I guess I didn't miss too much.

Martin Rucinsky and defensemen Al MacInnis and Alex Khavanov scored
shorthanded goals in the third period as the St. Louis Blues
completed a season-high five-game road trip with a 4-1 victory over
the Phoenix Coyotes.
Rucinsky's third shorthanded goal of the season and 12th overall at
4:48 of the third period snapped a 1-1 tie.
"It seems like we weren't getting the bounces towards the end,"
Coyotes coach Bobby Francis said. "You look at our power play and
basically it was ineffective and there was an exclamation mark on it
with the game-winning goal being a shorthander."
"In the third period, it was a 1-on-1 on a break and he beat me,"
Bierk said. "That was the game. It is tough because you play a good
game and everyone works hard. Outside of the first period we
outplayed them."

The ice at America West Arena may be as bad as the Phoenix Coyotes'
power play. And that's saying a lot.
Curtis Brown scored a shorthanded goal early in the third period and
made a key save late in regulation and Martin Biron stopped 30 shots
as the Buffalo Sabres extended their unbeaten streak to five games
with a 1-0 blanking of the Coyotes.
Brown took advantage of the arena's choppy ice and Phoenix's brutal
power play, stripping the puck from defenseman Radoslav Suchy below
the left faceoff dot, sliding to the hashmark and firing a snap shot
into the top right corner of the net.

Of course I also kept thinking that...well, all the Yotes needed was
for Brad to return but no...I'm afraid it's going to take more then
the return of their "spiritual leader" to put these boys back on a
winning track.
Wolfie!
