The reports are conflicting. ESPN says he was going
into the club as well:
Coyotes forward Brad May is facing a possible assault
charge for fighting with a nightclub bouncer and two
Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies.
The incident occurred April 14 when May argued with
the bouncer at the Cat Eye Lounge to move to the front
of the line following the Coyotes' 6-4 victory over
Nashville, Sheriff Joe Arpaio said.
When two deputies intervened, May punched one deputy
in the face and wrestled with the other, he said. The
deputies handcuffed May to subdue him, Arpaio said.
May was not arrested.
An assault charge could be filed this week against
May, who appeared to be drunk during the incident,
Arpaio said.
The A/P report is a little clearer.

Evidently he was leaving a restaurant with Brig
following the game and decided to help his teammates
move up in the line for the party at the Lounge.
It's interesting that he was not arrested.
