This won't be the 1st time Islam has been used as motivation by a fighter in the boxing ring, with the exception of Muhammad Ali in the 60's and 70's as a member of the nation of Islam. The first Evander Holyfield Mike Tyson fight, a reference was made by either Tyson or someone in his camp to the fact that it was going to be Tyson's Allah against Holyfield's Jesus to see who's servant would get the victory. When Mike lost the fight, if I remember correctly he also said he was considering retiring from the fight business. Does anyone else remember this fight hype/controversy. EDKARZ

Dan,I'm not sure where or why he left boxing, but I say " don't let the door hit you in the ass". Just my .02 cents worth.Dan-------------- Original message --------------
Does anyone in the group know exactly WHAT HAPPENED TO PRINCE NASEEM??????
I think he had 1 fight after the loss to Barrera, and that was it.
A friend told me that the Arab Mafia had threatened to kill him if he fought again, because of the disgrace he brought to the Muslim Religion after the pre-fight thing he did with the speech about there being only 1 true God - Allah, and then getting WHACKED by a Catholic believer!!!!!
I don't know if that's true, but I'm just curious about what happened to him and why he hung up his gloves after losing 1 fight!
