LOS ANGELES, February 3 – Oscar De La Hoya, seven-time world champion in f=
ive different weight classes, confirmed today that he has decided to return =
to the ring on June 5, 2004.  HBO Pay-Per-View (HBOPPV) will distribute the =
event. No opponent or venue has been determined.
 
"I am excited to make this announcement and can't wait to be back in the ri=
ng, " said De La Hoya, 36-3 with 29 KOs.  "We have already discussed various=
possible opponents and will start serious negotiations in the coming weeks.=
  Since these are the last few fights of my career as a fighter, I want to e=
