What a week it was sports fans!! The Sox have now taken 5 of the last
6 games against The Yankees and own one of the best records in major
league baseball (bummer about Papelbon's game against The A's
yesterday, but c'mon - the guy's human!). The Patriots have been
perhaps even busier than the Red Sox were in their off-season. After
all the great free agent pick-ups (I'm still swooning over the Adalius
Thomas deal among others) and a decent draft, The Pats picked up the
sometimes controversial, but very talented Randy Moss for the trifle
amount of a 4th round pick. There are a few folks who don't like this
deal, but I still have no reason to doubt Belichick and I'm personally
excited to see Moss in a Patriots uniform. Now our boy Brady has a
plethora of decent to fantastic receivers to choose from in 2007. How
can teams double-team us when we've got Moss, Stallworth, Welker, and
Caldwell. Not to mention the fact that Gaffney and Jackson should
improve as well (and will we or won't we have Troy Brown?). As much
as I'm into baseball season, I'm already counting the days to football!
Back to the Sox for a moment - for those of you who purchased Red
Sox/Mariners tickets, I will be sending them all out within the next
week or so. Sorry for the delay. I was hoping to get them out before
May 1, but work and life in general has been pretty swamped lately and
I'm just now being able to focus on the big mailing. Thanks for your
patience - they'll be out to you soon. I still have 4 tickets left
for the June game and 2 for the August one by the way. Please pass
word along to anyone you think might be interested.
Lastly, I want you all to check out a hilarious web series called
"Fitzy's Wicked Pissah Sports Report". You can find them by searching
YouTube.com or go to townienews.com. I love this guy - he cracks me up!
Go Sox!
Chris
