Hi Fellow Pats Fans!
Just when we fear we're going to be looking at a disappointing season,
our Patriots bring us back to reality and show why they are the
perennial contenders that they are. New England crushed a somewhat
over-rated Cincinnati team 38 to 13. There were some great
performances by Tom Brady, Doug Gabriel (there's hope in the receiving
corp after all), Corey Dillon (nice homecoming for him!), Jarvis Green
and Kevin Faulk to name very few. But the guy who really lit the
world up is our rookie star Laurence Maroney! He ran for 125 yards
and two scores. He is certainly in contention for some rookie honors
this year. He very well may have been the steal in the draft!
Our boys next opponent are the struggling Miami Dolphins. Even with
the addition of Daunte Culpepper and a strong finish last season, they
have been playing terribly, particularly on offense. But no Patriot
team takes any of their opponents lightly and they won't now. This is
an important division game that they will greatly need in their pocket
when we get close to playoff time.
Game time is at 10AM and will be shown on CBS. We didn't have much of
a crowd at Floyd's last week, but that was to be expected due to the
last game being on broadcast TV. The game to be shown on the CBS
affiliate KIRO is still TBA. I kind of doubt they will show it here,
but I could be wrong. Either way, I'll be at Floyd's and I hope to
see many of you in your respective Patriots regalia on Sunday.
Go Pats!
Chris
