Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to the group, and just thought I'd post this article I
came across.

ST. LOUIS - With the curse reversed in baseball and the Patriots
champs again in the NFL, Boston was honored as America's top sports
city for the second straight year.
The Sporting News on Tuesday designated Boston for the third time in
four years. The magazine's annual ranking is published in the edition
available on newsstands Wednesday.
"It's not unusual for one team to dominate a sport for a few years,"
Sporting News executive editor Bob Hille said. "But to see a city
dominate the sports landscape the way Boston has recently is amazing."
The Red Sox rallied from a 3-0 deficit in games against the New York
Yankees to win the AL pennant, then swept St. Louis in the World
Series for its first title since 1918. The New England Patriots beat
Philadelphia in the Super Bowl for their third NFL championship in
four years.
In addition, the city saw a Celtics playoff run, an NCAA tournament
invitation for Boston College and even the Major League Lacrosse
championship.
The rest of this year's top 10, in order: Philadelphia, Detroit,
Miami, Los Angeles/Anaheim, Houston, Baltimore/Washington,
Dallas/Fort Worth, Atlanta and New York/New Jersey. The magazine
looks at 388 sports cities or regions. At the bottom of this year's
list is Tampa-St. Petersburg.
