Hey all... I was doing some spring cleaning and came across a bunch of mini Super Bowl XXXIX banners that they handed out at the home opener at Gillette Stadium a couple of years back. As I only need one - anyone want one?

If any of you are interested, my husband Brian and I are going to
watch Sunday's game at Nic and Dino's in Lincoln Park with some fellow
Boston transplant friends. We haven't been there in awhile, but I
remember it being a great, friendly place to watch Sox games, and it
had decent bar food. Any thoughts? It would be great to watch the game
with fellow die-hard fans.
Let me know if any of you have a better bar suggestion in the city..

Framingham natives Steve Nicoli and Dino Zanella opened this place in
the summer of 2004. You can't miss the giant Sox flag hanging out
front. Decent menu with wings, open-faced sloppy Joes, rib-eye steak
sandwiches and burgers. There's not much parking in the area so you'll
want to cab it or take the L (brown line) to the Armitage stop, which
is 3 stops from Merchandise Mart.

What a coincidence... I just got an
email from Aras Baskauskas, who apparently won Survivor, wanting to
trade links with his site and GoPats.com for his hats!
I saw Danielle DiLorenzo from Survivor wearing this at the Pats
game
over Thanksgiving....pretty cool if you ask me. www.tundragear.com/new_england_patriots.htm <img

If y'all thought it was bad on TV,
you should have seen it in person. Unfortunately, I was there.
Though I was in very good company as the stadium was more blue and
silver than teal and orange. Rarely do I ever leave a game early, but
since just about everyone else in Patriot Nation exited after that
"trick" play in the 4th quarter, I wasn't gonna leave the stadium alone.
There were a few Fish fans heckling me, but most Dan Marino fans were
muttering to themselves, "oh my gosh, we are beating them!"
Oh well - back to The Store on Sunday to see the Pats and Texans...
I hear ya bro. It was painful to watch. Black
Sunday, call it what you want. You know it's bad when
Brady is yelling and screaming at Matt Light on and
off the field.

This is the annual contest where fans vote for their favorite team, and
Campbell's gives cans of soup to the hungry. I don't really know much
about it, other than the fact that the Packers pretty much lead all
other teams, and the same for this year.
(Insert your own joke about the Packers and/or Wisconsin here...)

Not a whole bunch of action going on here!
Any thoughts on the Pats from Sunday? Probably one of the WORST games
I've ever seen them play. Hands-down worse than the 31-0 loss to
Buffalo back in '03. Defenses aren't scared of this offense...there's
nobody that can stretch the field, the secondary looks lost, and the
O-line should be ashamed of themselves. Someone also needs to sit
Hobbs down and tell him it's not cool to celebrate a good kickoff
return when you're down 21-0 in the 4th quarter. And that roughing
the passer call? 15 yards because Harrington TRIPPED?!?!?!? This is
why I'm 23 years old and well on my way to developing an ulcer...
Anyway, I'm usually not Joe Negative, but let's get some banter going
on here!
Where are you all going for Sunday night's game? It would be fun to
get a big group to go to a Patriots-friendly bar.
Any of you up for going to The Store on Halsted or Nic and Dino's on
Armitage? Other suggestions?
Going to NY for the game. southwest roundtrip flight from Midway to ISLIP was $95 bills. go pats.

I was back at Gillette for the home opener, and picked up a few "extra" of the giveaway, a Patriots / Bank of America checkbook holder. B of A is now offering Pats checks... don't know if you can get them here in Chicagoland or not.
I will be at The Store on Sunday for the defeat of the Jets, and I can bring them along - email me... while
supplies last! My friend the Jets fan will be with me, so we will have a target for our (hopeful) ridicule!

Additionally, is there a way to adjust this e-mail
list so that when a person hits "reply" intending to
respond to one person, the entire group doesn't
receive the message?
