Steelers suffered a bad loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and a tough game against
Baltimore next Sunday night. I will miss next Sunday chat as well. Jets got
clobbered today and Bonnie will talk about it tomorrow afternoon. BB4Life

I couldn't believe it when I saw my inbox just now, and on the day of an matchup
with epic porportions: Lions-Browns.
And by epic, I mean epically bad; Lions 19, Browns 3.
The rest of the NFC North matchups should not have that pungently bad odor:
Vikes 24, Seahawks 16; Pack 23, Niners 13; Eagles 24, Bears 20.

It look like that Charlie Weis is in big trouble after losing to Connecticut.

Starting off with a game which in years past, usually meant a trip to Pasadena,
but with the trip decided already, it means "bowl game or bust" for the team I'm
picking to win:
Michigan 26, Ohio St. 17.
No paint chips were involved in that pick, nor were they involved in the other 4
conference season-enders:
Michigan St 28, Penn St 20; Wisconsin 28, Northwestern 24; Iowa 31, Minny 20;
Indiana 20, Purdue 17.
From the WorldWide Leader in Bonnieness...
And to think I'm following this up tomorrow with that stinkeroo at Ford Field...

But first, a couple of things. 1. Give us a link to Bonnie hosting the next
Lunch With A Legend with the date, and 2. She has a new video podcast, a
humorous look at how Jets rookie QB Mark Sanchez can better deal with the New
York media with a bit of sarcasm. Classic stuff. Link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz1DuJsCDL8&feature=player_embedded

Also, the last two days on the show podcasts have featured plenty from Bonnie,
including a segment from Thursday with Rich Eisen of NFL Network, where Eisen
was talking with Michael Kay about a particular place in New York, and Kay then
mentioned that he didn't go out anymore. When asked why, Bonnie then blurted
out in classic Bonnie humor singing as if she were flashing back to her
childhood, "Michael's got a girlfriend!!!!" Only Bonnie can get away with that,
LOL!!!! Then, she told a story of how she got past a security guard at the
Yankees victory parade by talking about how well she knows Rich Eisen's wife,
Suzy Shuster, who was a classmate of the guard. Friday's podcast featured Peter
King, Mike Breen, and Greg Buttle, where Bonnie chimed in a bit in each segment.

Now, can certain other women sportscasters easily make the transition from
sideline reporter to five day a week radio co-host with a stop as a substitute
TV studio host in between as Bonnie has done? I don't think so.

With that said, here are my One Million Star college football picks:

SEC:

Alabama 56
UT-Chattanooga 0

Florida 68
FIU 0

LSU 27

Unfortunately, none of that made the podcast. Instead, those of us who can only
listen to the podcasts were treated to Michael Strahan promoting Vaseline for
Men along with football talk, a segment where Bonnie only got to say hello to
him, a local writer discussing the possibility of Allen Iverson signing with the
Knicks, where Bonnie got in one question, and Junior Seau, where Bonnie got in
two questions. Strahan and Seau were asked their thoughts on Rex Ryan crying
during his speech, but, as I said, none of the dialogue among Bonnie and the
guys made the podcast.

Again, whomever is responsible for editing the podcasts should put together
separate podcasts, one with interviews, and another ONLY with banter among
Bonnie and the guys EVERYDAY!!!! Is it me, or does Bonnie get in more questions
during interview segments when Kay isn't on? I know Bonnie is a skilled
interviewer, but if she is going to better hone her skills interviewing radio
show guests, then she should be allowed to get in more questions for the
interview subject. One voice basically hogging the interview segments when
there are three co-hosts does not make good radio in my opinion.

We'll see if there will be improvements on both fronts.

Later on, GOD BLESS AMERICA, and as always, GOD BLESS BONNIE BERNSTEIN

While Bonnie enjoys the weekend in Vegas with a return flight to New York
sometime on Sunday or even the red eye after the fight, the rest of us will
likely sit at home to enjoy the remaining week 10 NFL action after it got an
early start with a game that set football back several years, not to mention the
dreadful production quality of the NFL Network telecast of the 49ers 10-6 win
over the Bears. For several minutes during the first quarter, it was an
announcerless game, LOL!!!! Without further adieu, here are my One Million Star

Fox early game of doubleheader that will air locally:

Rams 10

Fox late doubleheader game that will air locally:
