Yes, you read right, I had just finished my post, ready to have it
approved when I was cut off for no justifiable reason. Next thing you
know, someone will actually look up on the web that Bonnie wasn't
scheduled for the "Late, Late, Show" this week. Too late, already did
that.
FIRST IMPRESSION: The Tigers' promising rookie, Jeremy Bonderman made
his major league debut last night and left quite an impression. He
didn't leave quite that on the box score, however, as the Tigers were
roughed up by the Twins, 8-1. Bonderman impressed not only the Twins
with his stuff, but the home plate umpire as well. He pitched 4
innings, allowing 6 runs, striking out 5, walking 1. Tigers will try
again against the Twins this afternoon at Comerica.
MORE FROM "UP NORTH": The Pistons tried, but couldn't make the
Raptors "extinct" for the second night in a row, 88-74; the Red Wings
host the playoff-hopeful Islanders tonight at the "Joe." In minor
league openers tonight, Lansing (Cubs) takes on South Bend (D'backs),
while West Michigan (Tigers) takes on Battle Creek (Yankees) in
Midwest League action. Until tomorrow, fellow 'philes... GBA!!!
GBB!!! Chuck Rawlings, one who is baffled that Bonnie didn't make
the "Late, Late, Show," but Roseanne did.
