Re: [BMX] New to BMX

Would it be ok to look for used bikes too then? I figure that DK is a decent
brand and I can just upgrade the parts as they break or wear out. then
eventually i'll have a nice bike with a good frame and parts without having to
spend $1000 at once. I'll try e-bay and see what I can find.
Thanks
Dan

hey i dont really know of pretty good bikes for $200 but since your new to it
stick with something cheap maybe not a pro bike but just a normal bike until you
really start getting good at it because bmx gets very expensive. my bike alone
is worth $700 or so and i still havent got all the parts that i want when i am
done it will be worth over $1000. yeah sure getting one of those cheap bikes i
hate i would never touch again but i started with one broke many parts on it and
decided it was time to upgrade instead of buying parts for that piece of shit i
rode of course you try ebay where people sell some great bikes for cheap!!!! so
you could check out dk-redline-2 hip-terrible one-hoffman-schwinn(there r few of
those that r good got to watch for those b/c they r being under another
company-Pacific Bike CO.- which was the company where i got my first bike and
broke it the first day i had it) sure there r more companys but i am drawing a
blank right now but there r lots more just cant think of the names right now
that r worth looking at. also i dont know nothing bout building park ramps b/c i
dont have money for that i make ghetto ramps with whatever is laying around but
bout building dirt ramps is just trial and error make it ride it find out whats
wrong fix it and keep doing that for a while till you get it right but it
shouldnt be a wedge it should be curved but not all the way like a quarter pipe
and the landing can be a wedge or it could be shaped just like the jump.

Hey, I'm new to BMX and am looking at bikes. I only have about $200 to spend
and am looking at the DK Cincinnati or a Hoffman Resistance. I want a bike that
I can take anywhere (i.e. skatepark or dirtjumping) and also be durable. If
you have any suggestions on a good bike for me or have any tips on bmxing or
ramp building that you would like to share with me it would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks

Dan
