Updates have been made to the NSBA website (nsba1.htm and faq.htm),
defining the minimum scoring requirements and minimum time in rank
required before advancing to the next level.
This was done to comply with the rules set forth by the International
Fukiyado Association, as specified by the founding organization of the
sport, the Japan Sport Fukiya Association. It is not meant to
discourage anyone from participating in the sport, rather to encourage
their long term dedication and sportsmanship, and to define an
international standard, with a goal of having the sport sanctioned as
an Olympic event.
Without national and international minimum documented standards of
performance, equipment, and competition regulations, the sport will
not be considered by the IOC (International Olympic Committee).
