The Northern Maine Sport Blowgun Association held their first
NSBA sanctioned competition of the year in Mapleton, ME on Sat.
02/19/05, beginning at 11:00 AM. It was an indoor competition, held
at their "club house". The NMSBA is proud to announce that Kevin
Kinsey qualified for his 5 dan level, shooting a 180 out of 210, and
also has completed his requirements for the 6 dan level, shooting a
188 and setting the new USA 10 Meter record of 190 points.

Kevin used a 4 ft., .40 cal. Rebel Extreme Challenger 1 piece T-6061
Aluminum, Teflon-lined barrel, and the 5 in. long .40 cal. broadhead
darts with the broadhead tips removed.

Kevin is the first non-Japanese IFA member to reach the 6 dan
(Master, or "Meijin" level) by shooting three competition scores of
176 or higher within one year of completing his first score of 176 or
above.
