Well it is supposed to be dry this Saturday! Remember, I said dry! If you have
your snuggies out of moth balls, meet me at Creekside Inn for a 41 mile ride out
to Cheryl's. Time - maybe it will be warm enough at 10:00 AM. This will be the
usual route via Frosty Hollow and returning on Henrietta Road. See you Saturday
at 10:00 AM at Creekside Inn. John CCR

"IN GOD WE TRUST"

*Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*See the PC Police had taken away,*
*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*
* December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.*
*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*
*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*
*Something was changing, something quite odd! *
*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*
*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.*
*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*
*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*
*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*
*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*
*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*
*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*
*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*
*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*
*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'*
*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*
*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,
not Happy Holiday !*
Please, all Christians join together and
wish everyone you meet
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Christ is ?The Reason' for the Christ-mas Season!

Greetings fellow "bikers":

Just a few quick reminders!

1. The meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled due to schedule conflicts with some of the officers.

2. I have responses for 8 people attending the social on Friday(11/13) night. I need to know by Wednesday if you plan on attending so that I can call Jethro's with our count.
Thank you and make it a great day!

Looks like we're going to get a Saturday without rain in the forecast, It's going to be alittle on the chilly side so I decided to shorten the ride to about 55 miles, give or take a few. Instead of starting at Frankstown School, how about we start at Canoe Creek State Park. We'll meet in the parking lot near the beach at 9:00am. See you there. Later Denny

Later Denny

On Saturday, November 7th, I'm leading about a 70 mile ride leaving from Frankstown School at 9am. It's a new ride I made up some time ago. Maybe a few roads you've never been on. Mostly rolling hills as usual with 1 mountain to climb. I will have a cue sheet but the roads WON'T be marked. We can only hope for a sunny day, lately that's asking for alot. Any questions e-maile me or call 696-4247. Later Denny

Re:  Wild Bill's Md/WV "Spook Ride" this Sat.  The local forecast for the ride area is calling for a cloudy, but dry, day with temps in the high 60's to low 70's. Just for your info, I can only take two passengers and myself in my van (with 3 bikes). Others will have to drive. Email: wildbill40@...  Home phone: (717)369-4936.

In State College, we have Accu-Weather, National Weather Service, and PSU
Weather World just down the road from my office. All three weather services are
predicting a 90% chance of rain. Bill Syrett from PSU Weather World is a
bowling partner, and advises an indoor activity for Saturday. So, I am canceling
the ride. No make up is planned at this time. John CCR

The month of October has not been good for weekend bicyling!! I have scheduled
the Penns Valley ride this weekend. PSU is away, but the rainy weather is not
looking good. The ride is about 61 miles long, and is flat to rolling. Start
at the PA Military Museum in Boalsburg - time 9:00 AM. The route will be marked
and cue sheets provided. We usually get a bite to eat and re-hydrated at
Duffy's Tavern after the ride! I will post directions and also make a decision
on the ride later in the week. John CCR
