Road biking the Blackwater area of the Florida panhandle and surrounding
rural roads near Milton, Florida. Just a group of local area cyclist who meet on Saturday mornings departing from the Blackwater Trailhead behind Truly Spokin Bike Shop. Ride time is 8:30 am but check the bulletin board below for updates. Typical mileage is 35 to 65 miles, with one long ride and one shorter option. The long rides usually consist of faster riders (18mph average) and do not stop to regroup stragglers. If you go with this group get directions, a buddy and take a cell phone. The shorter route group will average 14 to 16 mph and will usually regroup to pickup any stragglers. If you plan to ride with us, arrive before the departure time and be prepared to ride promptly at 8:30 am. THE BULLETIN BOARD BELOW WILL BE UPDATED WEEKLY TO KEEP YOU INFORMED OF UPCOMING RIDE TIME AND ROUTE INFO.AND TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE ANY UPCOMING TOPICS OF INTEREST TO THE GROUP IN GENERAL.
THE OFFICIAL START TIME FOR THE SAT. RIDE AT THE BLACKWATER TRAILHEAD IS
8:30 AM. THIS WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL SPRING WEATHER ARRIVES, UNLESS OTHERWISE POSTED BELOW. (rain delays, special events, etc.)
MEMBERSHIP WILL ONLY BE GRANTED TO RIDERS THAT WE SEE REGULARLY ON THE SATURDAY RIDES AND THAT WE KNOW BY NAME.
