Hi: I beleive that bits are required in competition, not sure about blinkers
though. The club that I belong to had someone showing at a CDE and he doesn't
use blinkers and it was obviously okay by the officials. I don't show myself so
don't keep up with the rules and regs. Bye the way I live in Canada, but I'm a
Brit!! The CDE rules are pretty well universal I think for the higher level of
competition.
