I checked out the site you posted, up close they look like they can be
pretty severe like many bosals. I didn't see anything bad when the
cowgirls rode.
Yes not all horses work in the bitless some need re-training, but
mostly it's the riders that need re-training.
I did notice the only horse that was using a bit had a tie down as
well, and it was the one having issues.
The three horses out of about 250 that didn't go good it the bitless
didn't go any better in their bits.
People need to realize that pushing INTO pressure - running through
the bit or taking it in their teeth, becomes a muscle memory, and a
little training to give to pressure in a bitless can go along way.
Many won't take the time that it takes to get a huge reward.
