Re: [bitlessbridle] stopping with a bitless bridle

Hi,
Just like Mary I am not familiar with how the LG functions I also use the
Dr.Cook bb on all my horses/ponies & love it.So far I have noticed a
differance for the better in my horses that needed more training and the
horses that were trained I could not tell the differance.Training is the
key a Bitless Bridle will not replace that but can be a great tool in
training because the communication is so clear with no pain etc.
Now to answer your question I just rein as always my horse only plow
reined (drive) & she learned real quick to neck rein with the Bitless
Bridle.I give the bridle more credit than the training.I go back & forth
depending on what I am doing. My horse is always very reponsive with the
bridle.
If you have a great partnership with your horse & you are working
together as a team just use good old fashion horse sense to keep you
safe.Start off in a safe closed area & for the first test ride always
ride with someone.I remeber the first time using my BB too.It was scary
because its against the norm but I just love riding bitless.I am training
my filly with it now its amazing no fighting just willing to listen :)
Now I have a 17.2 draft mule that is in the works to be a saddle mule & I
have to confess I am back in your shoes there but if I stick to good
horse sense & always play it safe I should be ok :/ Yikes LOL
Let us know how it goes.
Rachel

That's great!!! I understand that many times when a horse "misbehaves" like yours used to it is in response to pain or the expectation of pain. This proves...
