Hi again bitless riding pals!
I have a question for you: As some of you know, I designed and sell a bitless
rope riding
halter called the Aeron Riding Halter, for which I have a patent pending.
Recently, my
manufacturer, Tammy of Tammy's Rope Tack, has decided to sell my halter on her
website
and call it her own. Although she acknowledges that I had the original idea,
sent her my
drawings and descriptions when she agreed to make them for me, she now feels
that, since
she MADE the first one, she should be able to sell them as her own, and cut me
out
completely. I think it all boils down to the fact that she saw sales were
starting to increase,
and she decided to help herself to a little larger piece of the pie! I will
continue to sell them (I
have found a new manufacturer who is more in line with my standards, both
professionally
and ethically).
Has anyone else run into this sort of problem before? I would be grateful for
any advice.
Thanks!
~Aeron
