Hi:  I have just joined this group, read the messages and found it all very interesting.  I am a driver and have had a bitless for 2 months, since getting it have used nothing else on the two Morgans that I drive.  We have 3 morgans and a mini.  My old guy is semi retired and I am going to try him in the bitless one of these days, he was always a handful and I would be interested in how he would react, if the girls are any indication probably fine.  I just have one comment at this time, the message from Shari Lynn about why we use the bit.or her interpretation, I got the impression from what she said that we use it to among other things to teach them to fear its consequences, not to my thinking the thing we should be teaching an  animal who is already a fear/flight creature and in his mind someone elses dinner.  Don't want to stir things up but it was just an observation.
