Hi Barb~
Just wanted to say hi--my husband and I are planning to move to the S.
Illinois/SE MO
area in the next few months (currently in Georgia). So we'll almost be
neighbors!
I started both of my Rocky Mountain mares myself and they have never known a
bit--we
started them in the bitless bridle and then I eventually converted the BB into a
sidepull
(works great that way, too).
Anyway, I have found our two horses are the most mild-mannered on the trail when
we're
with a group of friends--I think their calmness, lack of buddy-sourness, etc.,
can all be
attributed to the lack of a bit in their mouth.
Happy trails!
Sheree
