Hi bitless group! Hope you can help me out. I would like to try
bitless with my 6 YO Morab gelding. I have had problems with "giving
to the bit". I am an experienced rider with soft hands and a pretty
good seat. I am in the process of moving to a treeless (probably
Freeform) saddle, so will get that equipmqnt change settled before
changing the bit as well.
I really am hoping to avoid trying every type of bitless bridle. Was
wondering if any of you have already tried several types and could
compare and contrast? Hackamore(s), sidepulls, the Dr Cook over the
poll pressure, or combos of these. Hought Leather and Tack makes one
that can be used several ways, and I like the configuration better
than the Cook, but it is about $200....I would like to stick to Beta
rather than rope or leather, but still have a very open mind.
I trail ride almost exclusively (some arena work when I must). I plan
to do some beginning LD this season. I'll look forward to your
comments and experiences. Annie
